A couple of weeks ago Caleb learned how to say his name. It only took us about 4 days to figure out what he was trying to say. "Kay-wha outside" is his favorite phrase, he always wants to go outside. It doesn't matter if it is cold, dark, or raining. My favorite word he is saying now lately is "rain-in" and when he first started saying it it was "rain-in-in" but sometime lately he lost the ending. It is so cute how when he wants something now he starts it with "Kay-wha."
He is definitely turning into Mr. Independence. He is putting on his own shirt, not always forwards, but hey who cares if the car is on the back of the front. He has experimented with socks and pants, but doesn't quite have those down yet.
He has also became a big fan of trains and airplanes lately. This is in addition to the bus and motorcycle obsession he has. We have train tracks that you can see from our house and about a week an a half ago there was one stopped on the tracks. Since then on a daily basis he talks about that train. "Train stop." That train must have left a serious impression because he brings it up out of nowhere.
I also seem to have a talker on my hands, especially at bed time. He has this routine where he comes up with random things and I have to repeat it back. It normally starts with
Caleb - "Chris home"
Mom - "Yes Chris is at home"
Caleb - "Grandma home"
Mom - "Yep Grandma is at home"
Caleb - "Tammi home"
Mom - "Yes Tammi's at home"
Caleb - "Train's coming"
Mom - "I don't know there might be one coming"
Caleb - "Airplane bye bye"
Mom - "yep the airplane went to the airport."
Caleb - "Mickey all done"
Mom - "Yep, we had to turn Mickey off to go to bed"
I think he might possibly be talking so he doesn't fall asleep and gets to rock longer, what do you think?
