Ever since Isaac was 10 or 11 months we have been able to just lay him down in bed, as long as he had his paci and teddy he'd lay right now. Tonight I got his paci and asked him if he was ready for bed. He nodded yes, took the paci and ran for his bedroom. When I got there he was bouncing at the rail excited to get in. I lifted him up. He chuckled happily and laid down on top of his teddy and panda mini pillow pet. Then for 30 min he played in bed singing to himself before he finally fell asleep.
